About KSS

Built from the ground up.

Brand Story

Built from the ground up.

KSS is rooted in monozukuri — the Japanese discipline of getting every detail right.

Every undercarriage component begins with a specification owned and controlled by KSS engineering. Material grades are selected for wear life under load, not for procurement convenience. Heat treatment profiles, hardness tolerances, dimensional standards — each parameter is set to perform in the conditions that destroy lesser parts: abrasive soils, high-impact terrain, continuous duty cycles in open-cut mining.

This is engineering shaped by Japanese rigour and validated in the field. Laboratory data informs the design. Site data proves it.

KSS components are designed for Komatsu and Caterpillar heavy equipment operating in mining and construction environments globally. The machines are demanding. The conditions are unforgiving. The components are built accordingly.

Engineering Philosophy

地盤から、耐久を究める

Engineer endurance from the ground up.

Vision

すべての機械に、現場に応じた足回りを — 性能のために設計する

"Every machine deserves undercarriage specified for its ground — engineered for performance."

Engineering Philosophy

Five principles. One discipline.

物作り

Monozukuri

The Discipline Behind the Detail

Five principles do not apply themselves. Monozukuri is the engineering culture that connects them — the discipline of getting every detail right, from first specification to final field validation.

信頼性

Shinraisei

Reliability

Every component must perform consistently across its service life. Reliability is not a feature — it is the foundation of every engineering decision.

精密

Seimitsu

Precision

Dimensional tolerancing, heat treatment depth, and surface hardness are specified to exact standards. Deviation is a failure mode, not a margin.

改善

Kaizen

Continuous Improvement

Specifications are never static. Field data feeds back into engineering decisions. Each cycle is an opportunity to close the gap between design intent and operating reality.

現場

Field Connection

Engineering decisions are grounded where the components run. We know the conditions they face.

耐久

Taikyū

Lifecycle Thinking

Component performance is evaluated across its full operational life. Upfront material investment is assessed against total lifecycle cost, not unit price.
